Desktop app and CLI

Use Kajoo outside the browser: the desktop app keeps Kajoo one click away with desktop notifications, and the Kajoo CLI lets you work with Kajoo from a terminal.

Desktop app

Download it

Go to General Settings → Desktop App and click Download for your system:

Install it and sign in with your Kajoo account.

What you get

• Desktop notifications when an agent needs your input or finishes. Click one to open the chat or job. You don't get them while the Kajoo window is in front.
• Kajoo links (kajoo://) open straight in the app.
• It keeps running in the background. Closing the window keeps Kajoo in the tray or menu bar. From there choose Open Kajoo, Check for Updates… or Quit Kajoo.
• Automatic updates. The app checks for updates every few hours and downloads them. When one is ready, choose Restart now or Later.

Kajoo CLI

The Kajoo CLI lets you list, read, create and change your Kajoo work from a terminal or a script.

Install it

You need Node.js 22.12.0 or later.

npm install -g @kajoo-ai/kajoo-cli

To run a single command without installing, use npx @kajoo-ai/kajoo-cli <command>.

Sign in

kajoo login

Your browser opens to Kajoo, where you sign in and pick a workspace. Each sign-in covers one workspace. On a machine without a browser, run kajoo login --no-browser and open the address it prints.

The CLI signs in through your browser. It no longer uses API keys.

kajoo whoami shows who you're signed in as, and kajoo logout signs you out.

Commands

Commands follow the pattern kajoo <resource> <action>, for example kajoo tasks list or kajoo projects get <id>.

Useful extras:

• kajoo commands lists every command.
• kajoo <resource> schema create shows what you can send when creating something.
• --json prints machine-readable output, and --yes skips confirmations in scripts.
• kajoo update updates the CLI.
