Kajoo Agentic release · 25 October 2026
October 25th, 2026
The biggest release so far: a new sign-in experience, the Kajoo AI Secure Gateway with newer models, workspace sharing, scheduled jobs, and more ways to connect your tools.
A new sign-in and password reset
- Sign-in and password reset have a new look, with dark mode and a layout that fits a phone. A rotating banner shows highlights, agent artwork and client logos.
- Sign-in errors are written in plain words.
- Invited teammates set a password from the invite email and then use Continue to Kajoo to sign in.
- Kajoo Classic's sign-in page has the same new look.
The Kajoo AI Secure Gateway, newer models, and smarter routing
- Kajoo AI Secure Gateway. Every call to an AI model now passes through one governed gateway instead of going straight to each AI company. It gives Kajoo one place to control which models are used and to keep your data out of logs. Answers, streaming, tool calls and Agent Units stay the same.
- Newest models. Six models were added: Claude Fable 5.1, Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Sonnet 5.5, GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Luna. New workspaces get all six. Existing workspaces keep Fable 5.1 and Astra off until an owner switches them on.
- Older models retired. Claude 4.x (except Haiku 4.5) and all GPT-5.x models are gone from the list. Agents, chats and workspaces that used them were moved to Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Opus 5.5, GPT-6.1 Sol or GPT-6 Luna.
- New models arrive faster. A new model can reach your workspace without waiting for a Kajoo release, and it shows up in Select Models within seconds. When a model is withdrawn, agents and chats already using it keep running.
- Auto picks the best model for the task from the models your workspace has turned on. In a chat that has images, it prefers models that can read images.
- Thinking and effort follow your choice.
- Your secrets stay out of our logs. In the records we use to fix problems with AI calls, API keys, tokens, passwords, email addresses and phone numbers are replaced with labels such as [API KEY]. Agents still get the real values, and these records are deleted after 14 days.
Tasks and phases
- The Tasks icon opens the task list, and the board opens from its own button.
- A task can list the tasks it depends on, and linked tasks for context. Both show on the task's Dependencies tab. A task can't be started or finished before the tasks it depends on are done.
- When an agent shows a task in the chat, it appears as a card with the task's details, a Refresh button and a box to ask the agent about it.
Workspaces and sharing
- Share a workspace from the new Share button in the workspace top bar, with view or edit access, or with a link for people in your organization.
- The workspace switcher moved into the user menu, and your active workspace's name shows under your name. Notifications, dark mode, help and profile moved into the left navigation, under the profile menu.
- Signing in opens the last workspace you used.
- The Project Instructions panel is gone from the project navigation.
- Home shows new Recent Projects cards and a New Project button.
- The workspaces page opens faster.
- Grey text is easier to read, and tap areas are bigger on touch screens.
Chat
- Queued messages: keep typing while the agent works. Your messages wait and are picked up by the agent before its next step.
- Auto Approvals: a third approval mode next to Default and Bypass, where Kajoo decides which actions are safe to run without asking you.
- Stop tells you what happened: “Stopped at your request. These steps did not run: …”, and you can stop a chat while it waits on you.
- When a sub-agent has worked for a while, the main chat asks whether it should continue, with Continue and Stop this agent.
- Activity lines and tool results look the same everywhere, and approval and question cards have a new, more consistent design.
- Long conversations keep their context when Kajoo shortens them or when you switch model, and the chat history is saved after every turn.
Connect more tools
- Agents can find and install community MCP servers when you ask them to. Switch on Dynamic Tool Discovery for the agent first.
- Results from connected MCP servers can show up as interactive widgets in the chat, including Kajoo's own reports and task cards.
- Kajoo's MCP server supports OAuth sign-in, and remote MCP servers can sign in with OAuth.
- Agents can use your connected GitHub or Azure DevOps account to work with repositories from the chat sandbox: create branches, commit, and open pull requests.
- Agents can find the apps in a workspace sandbox, start and stop them, and show you a live preview.
- All agents share built-in skills for working with Kajoo's own features.
Recipes
- Recipe Library: under General Settings, your organization can add recipe libraries from public GitHub repositories and choose which Kajoo recipes it starts workspaces from. Each recipe lists what it includes.
- Detach a workspace from its recipe to keep your own changes to agents and skills. Later recipe updates will not overwrite them.
- Re-apply Recipe now updates a skill when only its supporting files changed.
Scheduled jobs
- A new Scheduled jobs tab in the project lets you save instructions for an agent with a schedule, for daily reports, nightly checks or weekly summaries. Every run of a job lands in the same chat, and you get a notification when it finishes or fails.
Changes to be aware of
- API keys are gone for the CLI and external connections. Sign in with OAuth instead.
- Older Claude and GPT models were retired, and anything that used them moved to a newer model.
- Some controls moved (see Workspaces and sharing).
Also in this release: a long list of fixes so chats don't get stuck, crash or lose messages, and tighter access checks.
Versions: 2.0.16, 2.0.17 and 2.0.18
