Kajoo Agentic release · 7 August 2026

Plan and run your work on a task board. Tasks are grouped into phases, and one click hands a task to an agent. This release also lets you choose the model for each chat and which models your workspace offers, and adds plan mode, a file explorer and editor for the sandbox, a notification center, and new ways to add skills.

Phases, tasks and the task board

  • Task board. Open the board from the Tasks panel to see your project's tasks in five columns: To do, In progress, Review, Done and Blocked. Drag a card to another column to change its status, or within a column to change the order.
  • Phases. Tasks are grouped into phases, so a project follows a plan from start to finish. Each phase shows its progress, and a phase that depends on another stays locked until that one is done. Projects made from a recipe start with the recipe's phases and first tasks already in place.
  • Manage phases from the task list. Add a phase, give it a name, description and colour, choose which phases it depends on, or delete it. Its tasks are kept when you delete it. Sort the tasks in a phase by your own order, status or priority.
  • Start a task with one click. A task that is ready to go has a Start button. It opens a new chat with the task's agent and sends the task as the first message, and the agent moves the task to In progress and then to Review as it works. You can also start all the tasks in a phase in one chat.
  • One task dialog to create and edit tasks, with a full-height Markdown editor for the description.

Models

  • Choose the model and effort for each chat from the message box, without changing the agent's settings.
  • Choose your workspace's models. In Workspace Settings → LLM Models, pick which models agents can use (Select Models), turn Auto Routing on or off, and set the default model for new agents. Auto picks only from the models you selected. If you turn a model off, agents and chats using it switch to the default model.
  • New models, and a new Ultra tier for the most capable ones.

Chat

  • Plan mode: switch on Plan and the agent works out a plan with you before changing anything. Review it, ask for changes, then Accept & Build.
  • Attach files and photos from the + menu, by dragging them into the chat, or by pasting. PDF and Word documents work too.
  • Select to Reply: select text in an agent's answer and click Reply to ask about that part.
  • Press the up arrow to bring back an earlier message, edit it and send it again.
  • All approvals and questions in one place: pending approvals and questions from every agent, including sub-agents, appear in the main chat one at a time. A sub-agent's own chat shows a View in Chat button.
  • Always approve: on an approval card, choose Always approve in this session or Always approve and bypass permissions.
  • The approval mode moved into the + menu.
  • Agents can remember your preferences across chats.

Notifications

  • A notification center under the bell, with Needs Action and Updates tabs, shows what needs you and what happened across your workspaces.

Sandbox files and code

  • A Code tab in the project's right panel shows the files in your workspace sandbox as a tree. Refresh it, download files and folders, and edit files in the code editor.

Skills

  • A skill can include several files: a SKILL.md with references, scripts and assets.
  • Add Skill offers four ways to add one: Create with Kajoo, Write Skill Instructions, Import from URL, and Upload a Skill.

Your workspace and team

  • Ask Kajoo manages your workspace. Ask it in plain words to create or change agents, skills, prompt templates and connections.
  • A Teams page under General Settings lists everyone in your organization and their roles.
  • A Connect Kajoo page connects Kajoo's MCP server to other AI tools, such as Claude. (It used API keys, which were replaced by OAuth sign-in on 25 October.)
  • The first version of the Kajoo CLI lets you work with Kajoo from a terminal.
  • Figma: connect a Figma account, and agents can read your design files, components and comments.

Sitecore migration

  • Discovery-only mode: run Discovery with only your source code and source Sitecore access, before the target is set up.

Also in this release: fixes for chats that froze, stopped streaming or only showed approvals after a refresh, and for settings forms.
